About this position

We are looking for a motivated individual who relishes Technical SEO tasks and is comfortable working across different CMS platforms and SEO tools. The role requires an individual who can comfortably communicate with clients (or is open to developing this skill), external developers and colleagues alike.

Working across a selection of different clients, with a range of requirements and KPIs, the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a flexible approach to fulfilling key Technical SEO duties.

As an integrated and collaborative agency, we require a Technical SEO who is able to produce work and results that will complement our Organic Search, Paid Search, Social Media and Web Design services. The Technical SEO team works closely with our Content Marketing Strategy team to provide Organic Search strategies and implementation that work to the same KPIs, improving clients’ organic performance.

Role and responsibilities

  • Regularly crawl and audit sites, and document issues with actions to fix
  • Collaborate with the Content Marketing team to feed into overall Organic Marketing strategies
  • Carry out technical implementations based on client objectives, and in line with the overall Organic Search strategy
  • Provide monthly reporting documentation to support the Content Marketing Strategy team
  • Support on-site migration and web build projects
  • Support the sales process with website audits
  • Communicate SEO strategy and consultancy with clients on calls and via project management software
  • Monitor sites’ technical health performance and report issues or opportunities to organic seniors
  • Create and maintain setups for clients across Google Analytics, GTM, GSC
  • Keyword research and tagged position monitoring to inform organic strategy direction
  • Investigating client site issues and support communication for the Client Services team
  • The role reports to the Strategy Director

Skills and experience

  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on Technical SEO experience
  • Fluent in technical SEO terminology – can troubleshoot technical issues, causes and recommend fixes
  • Good on-site tactical knowledge and experience
  • Experience using SEO tools (Screaming Frog or similar crawling tool, Google Search Console, Semrush, Ahrefs, Google Tag Manager, Sistrix, Data Studio, pagespeed tools)
  • Excellent Google Analytics knowledge
  • Experience creating SEO reports and analysing findings
  • Experience managing agency-style client SEO campaigns (preferable)
  • Experience using project management software (Jira or similar) (preferable)
