The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to utilise extensive research to shape organic marketing strategies and incorporate out-of-the-box thinking to create opportunities for client campaigns. Adaptability and flexibility are vital in the role, ensuring Banc’s Content Marketing and Digital PR team stays ahead of the competition.

Upon joining the team, the successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating multiple organic marketing campaigns for both B2B and B2C clients and supporting the Organic Strategy lead on each campaign.

Duties & responsibilities

  • Growing into owning organic strategy across content marketing and digital PR for 2-3 clients (with training)
  • Creating documentation for client strategies, competitor analysis, reporting and research pieces
  • Carrying out research, data gathering and campaign asset creation work for digital PR
  • Delivering Digital PR campaigns, both onsite and offsite, which produce positive results for clients
  • Contributing ideas to PR sessions and feeding into decision making for campaigns for clients
  • Outreaching PR comments, campaigns and news stories to a range of different media contacts
  • Owning organic content strategy and deciding content pieces required for quarterly strategies
  • Reporting monthly on campaign KPIs and broader organic objectives
  • Communicating with the content production team to ensure work is delivered on-brief and on-schedule, to the highest possible standard: blog posts, guides, quizzes, interactive guides, case studies, Digital PR, content
  • Monitoring journalist requests and working with the team to take opportunities to gain coverage and links
  • Developing client content strategy to cover different SEO intent across the marketing funnel stages
  • Briefing content to our creative and copy team for written and design collateral
  • Building target media lists and developing relationships with journalists in your clients’ industries
  • Learning how to use work fed in by the Technical SEO team into our wider organic strategy work and communicating joint KPIs and approach to clients
  • Monitoring billable time and tracking accordingly for internal use
  • Learning keyword research to inform content strategy and PR data research
  • Learning how to audit content and make suggestions for site improvement
  • Assisting the agency’s Client Services team by attending client meetings and providing documentation and commentary as required

Skills and qualifications

  • Awareness of Digital PR campaigns and how they work for SEO benefit and digital brand awareness
  • Experience using Buzzstream, Response Source and Vuelio (or similar tools)
  • Experience of executing outreach and launching/supporting on Digital PR campaigns
  • First-class project planning and organisational skills, with the ability to spin multiple plates at any time
  • Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ambition to step outside your comfort zone, trial new ways of working, and collaborate with a range of Digital Marketing professionals
  • Experience using Jira, Basecamp or a similar project management tool (preferred not essential)
  • Experience gathering data for PR campaigns and building media lists tailored to client’s media targets
  • Experience researching organic content opportunity and planning content for SEO
  • Beginner level experience in SEO content and strategy (preferred but not essential)
  • Experience in B2B and B2C clients/industry (preferred not essential)
  • Can-do attitude and willingness to participate
  • Experience reporting content or digital PR campaigns
  • Experience using organic search analysis and reporting tools (Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMRush) (preferred)
